Greetings from Thompson Angus! Thompson Angus was started in 1972 and began A.I. breeding in 1978. Take a look at our selection of bulls as they are out of the top A.I. sires of the breed and out of dams backed by many years of A.I. breeding. The bulls are taken from the top 30% of our calf crop each year to ensure all bulls are of the highest quality.

The cow herd is run on native prairie pastures for 6 months of the year and given hay over the wintertime. The bull calves are developed with soundness and high fertility in mind. They are fed a high roughage ration of home grown feeds. We as Angus breeders, are committed to raising Angus cattle that put on pounds efficiently in a calving ease, high maternal package. Our bulls have finished at the top of the North Dakota Bull Test several times. Our steers at the NDSU Research Center have been top gainers, proving our selection for efficient, high gaining cattle.
